Once you've passed the first toll booth in Spain, remain on this road. After 17 km, take the exit 'N1 Vitoria Gasteiz' - Continue on the Vitoria Gasteiz N1, meanwhile it turns into the A1 towards Burgos AP1 (péage, toll) - Next, in direction of Valladolid, Palencia A62

Ps. If you trust on your navigation system to get here, you will be most likely led via Valladolid, This is an additional 60 km. To avoid this, set Palencia as "short route" on your GPS. Furthermore, many navigation systems don't know about the new motorway A7, A11 in Portugal. Exit 78 Palencia, Benavente A 610 - Exit 1 Benavente Benavente A65 then A67 changes into the N610 towards Benavente. Before reaching Benavente in direction Ourense A52, follow this highway until exit 160 Verin / Portugal.

Portugal:

At the roundabout go towards Portugal, Chaves. N522
Once you're passed the border you will come to a new roundabout, turn left at this roundabout, towards the new highway. Once you're on the new highway (IP3), keep right, direction Vila Real, Guimarães. Then choose the A7 direction Guimarães, continue towards Guimaraes. Then take exit Celorico / Mondim. At the roundabout take the N210 direction Celorico / Mondim. Follow the N210 towards Mondim. After 5 km you will see a white sign reading "Dentro" on the left hand side of the road.(You have now entered Canedo de Basto) Ignore this sign and turn left after 50 meter, at the road sign that says "S. Mamede”. You will also see the first wooden sign with" Quinta do Rio ". Follow this winding road for 1.5 kilometres' until you reach another wooden sign of "Quinta do Rio" at a wide dirt road. Turn right here, and turn left after 1.5 kilometres' once you see the last sign of "Quinta do Rio". After 150 meter you have arrived at Quinta do Rio!
